In this Race players may collect light fragments that will reward them with a White Candle at the end, just like the light fragments in the Sliding Race do. The building looks very similar to the Sliding Race building. The Ancestor Spirit can be found above the main arch to the front of the building.Ī building beyond the Citadel area brings players to the Flying Race. And last one is in one of the left small towers. The other is located in one of the four coves near the bottom of the right tower adjacent. One is located at the apex of the left tower in the back. There are three Spirits available here as well as two Children of Light. Assuming the player found Spirits in the Sliding Race and/or the Coliseum, they will be able to access this area on a second play through of Valley. This area lies behind the Spirit Gate leading out of the Ice Rink. Officially this Area is called the Citadel, though many players refer to it as the Orrery. The Sliding and Flying Races meet near the end with an additional Child of Light on the course, leading to the same Coliseum. Currently, collecting all of the lights and completely filling the orange meter in both the upper and lower areas of the race does not yield any additional reward.Īlong this course you will also find one Child of Light to collect during the race. You will always be rewarded with 150 pieces of wax (as long as it's your first time completing the race for that day). This race course, however, most resembles the original race that appeared in the early days of the beta, when players would race down the hills collecting butterfly lights. While this is still referred to as a 'race,' the racing element has long been removed from the game. Simply slow down on the last section, and walk carefully along the edge to trigger the cutscene. If you don't have the cape power to reach this platform, you may also approach directly from the slide down into the Ice Rink.
